Words cannot describe how much I love Kimi ni Todoke right now. Just when I was getting frustrated over the "misunderstandings" between Kazehaya and Kuronuma up until episode 7 of season 2, episode 8 comes around and smacks me right in the face. I thought I had already seen the best the show had to offer, but I couldn't have been more wrong. Episode 8 beats all the other episodes so far.
I love the way Kazehaya, Kuronuma and the other characters respond to the situations they encounter in such a positive way. Kimi ni Todoke is definitely not your typical shojo anime. Although it covers the usual experiences of a high school student, it gives another perspective and adds depth where other shojo anime do not. Thank you Karuho Shiina for writing this inspiring manga. And thank you Hiro Kaburaki for directing the anime so well.
Until episode 9 comes out, I leave you with these screenshots of Kazehaya looking at Kuronuma in episode 8:
